MOTHERS DAY GIFT GUIDE

Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia Home Candle | Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette
Pandora March Birthstone Earrings | Iris and Edie at Debenhams Slippers
Giorgio Armani Si Eau de Parfum

Mothers Day is fast approaching! Sunday, March 15th - for those of you who aren't in-the-know... You have no excuses now! Lucky for me, it just so happens that Mothers Day and my Mum's birthday are only days apart, so it's a good time to splash all-out on the lovely Lady to whom I owe everything!
These are the top pics that I've chosen for my Mum this year. She's not only my mother, but my best friend too and deserves to be spoilt rotten on her special day(s).

Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia Home Candle
Quite contradictory of me to purchase this signature Autumn scent for Mothers Day this Spring, however nothing can compete with the freshness and the marriage of a delicate bouquet of freesias and sweet, ripe pears. This candle is the perfect little buy for my Mum; our family home is always filled with burning candles and incense so I thought I'd treat her to a special little burner on her special day! This little luxury burns for 45 hours and is £40 for the 200g tumblr. You could even engrave this candle to make it extra special and personal for your Mama. This feature can be found on the Jo Malone website by clicking the link above.

This gift boasts the neutral shades that my Mum adores in order to create a perfect smokey eye. I've noticed over the years that my Mum isn't very adventurous when it comes to eye-shadows, however lusts over a neutral smokey eye that compliments her blue eyes. With all taupe-based, matte shades, its easy to piece together Stark, Frisk and a subtle smudge of Primal to create the perfect Kim Kardashian striking smoke that will suit any skin tone. At £23, this gift is relatively inexpensive for the amazing quality of shadows that Urban Decay are renowned for.

Not-so-subtle hints have been made for this gift since my Mum received the matching ring earlier at Christmas time... hence the Birthday Girl gets what the Birthday Girl wants! At £45, these earrings are generally more than what I would usually pay for a pair of everyday studs, however they are a kind of keep-sake as they show off the delicate Aquamarine birthstone that is fitting for both Mothers Day and my Mum's birthday this upcoming March.

With a playful yet mischievous Chocolate Labrador in the house, slippers are an essential gift this year. It seems that every single pair we have bought have been chomped and chewed by Olly, however we can't stay mad at him for long! These cute striped booties look the epitome of comfort and cosiness which will keep my Mum's toes warm as we await the warmer Summer months. Find these in Debenhams for just a mere £18.50!

The fifth and final gift I have in mind for Mothers Day is the newest, most elegant and chic fragrance I have had the pleasure to smell in a long time and to be entirely truthful, I am debating purchasing this for myself! Mother-Daughter fragrance! The light yet musky and fruity fragrance is by no means overpowering, and the Eau de Parfum will linger on the skin for around 6 to 8 hours. Giorgio Armani radiates luxury, so expect to pay £67 for the 50ml bottle from Debenhams.

What are you treating your Mums too this Mothers Day?
Do you have any exciting plans for the day?

Kisses,
Kate

INTRODUCING

Hello!

I'm Katie and I'm a eighteen year old student, currently residing in Manchester.  I go to college and study Business, English Language and Sociology and I aim to go into the Business/Marketing industry.

I love bright colours, candles and endless cups of sweet tea. I enjoy glittery nail varnishes (without the sandpaper removal), sunny days, white roses and if you make me laugh, we'll be the best of friends.

That's all for now - I hope my upcoming blog will see you with some interesting and entertaining posts! Keep in touch!
